Consumer Price Index / Inflation Of Aceh Province in January 2021

In general, the price developments for various commodities in January 2021 indicated an increase. In January 2021, there was inflation of 0.79 percent, or an increase in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) from 106.54 in December 2020 to 107.38 in January 2021.

Inflation that occurred in Aceh (Combined 3 Cities) occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in the index for the expenditure group, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 2.21 percent; the housing, water, electricity, gas and household fuel group by 0.10 percent; the equipment, tools and household routine maintenance group by 0.33 percent; the health group of 0.09 percent; the information, communication and financial services group of 0.02 percent; the recreation, sports, and culture group by 0.31 percent; the education group of 0.07 percent; the food and beverage / restaurant supply group by 0.52 percent; and personal care and other services group by 0.44 percent. Expenditure groups that experienced deflation, namely: the clothing and footwear group by 0.18 percent; and the transportation group by 0.04 percent.

The inflation rate for the calendar year (January 2021 against December 2020) is 0.79 percent and the year-on-year inflation rate (January 2021 against January 2020) is 3.72 percent.
